HS Business Hub is a one-person software business in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

I’m Hope. I design, build and maintain the software listed on this page myself. HS Business Hub is the name that work goes under — one developer, one place to find the products.

It is not an agency and it is not a marketplace. I do not take on client work and I do not resell other people’s software. One product is live and supported today; one is still in development, and it says so.

ReplyPigeon

Google review replies, written for you and emailed ready to paste.

Live

ReplyPigeon checks a local business’s Google reviews once a day. When it finds a new one, it writes a reply to that review and emails the draft to the owner, ready to paste into Google.

There is no dashboard to sign into and no new habit to keep up, which is deliberate. The owners I built it for are already busy running the business the reviews are about, and one more tool with one more login was never going to get opened. The draft turns up in the inbox they were going to check anyway.

Every customer connects their own business, so ReplyPigeon only ever watches the reviews belonging to that business.

Whyte Routes

A mobile app for field and fleet operations.

In development

Whyte Routes is a mobile app for field and fleet operations. It is in development and has not been released, so there is nothing to download yet and no store listing to point at — and I am not going to describe features that are not finished.

It is being built for the Apple App Store and for Google Play. When it is out, the two slots below become working links with a scannable code beside each, and the badge on this card changes to say so. Until then I would rather leave the space visibly empty than put up a button that goes nowhere.

Who builds this

One developer. Everything here is mine to answer for.

I’m Hope. I design, build, ship and support everything under HS Business Hub myself — the code, the interface, the words on this page, and the reply you get when you write in. There is no team behind this and no one else to pass your message along to, which is rather the point: when you write in, you are writing to the person who wrote the software.

HS Business Hub is the umbrella for the products I make, so that a customer of one can see what else exists and know who stands behind it. I work from Richmond Hill, Ontario, and I serve businesses across York Region — Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Markham and Vaughan.

Working alone shapes what gets built. ReplyPigeon has no dashboard partly because I did not want to build one, and mostly because the owners I built it for do not want another login. That is a decision one person can make and defend, rather than quietly reverse to look more like everyone else.

It also has a trade-off worth saying out loud: one product gets most of the attention at a time. Right now that is ReplyPigeon, because it has shipped and has to keep working every day. Whyte Routes gets the rest of the hours, which is exactly why it is not out yet. When any of that changes, this page changes with it.
